Course Highlights:

“Real-Time Embedded Programming” is a three-day, hands-on course designed to provide participants with both the fundamental and practical knowledge on real-time processing and embedded programming concepts, fundamental and practical signal processing algorithm and their applications. This course adopts a simplified, step-by-step teaching approach that facilitates for effective learning of this topic. It simplifies the learning of signal processing, without the usual heavy mathematical explanation. In this course, the latest C5505 eZDSP USB Stick Development Tool from Texas Instruments is used as the platform for learning real-time embedded programming. The C5505 is the industry's lowest power 16-bit processors helping conserve energy at exceptional levels and enabling longer battery life. With 200 MIPS performance, up to 320KB on-chip memory, higher integration (including a hardware accelerator for FFT computation) than comparable devices at a competitive price, C5505 provides a foundation for a range of signal processing applications, including voice recorder, musical instruments, portable medical solutions and other consumer electronics in industrial and security applications. Participants will have a chance to design different types of real-time filtering and frequency analysis algorithms, and work on several interesting applications, like 3D sound, audio equalizer, lowfrequency enhancement, tone generators, spectrum analyzer, and many others.
The hands-on approach introduced in this course allows participants to fully understand the basic concepts behind realtime embedded programming and serves as a foundation to take up more advance real-time signal processing projects in future.
